Transcripts from Osmania University

I am sharing experience of getting Transcripts from Osmania University, Hyderabad. The same process is applicable for colleges affiliated to Osmania University. This was done in February 2017 for getting transcripts for B.E. degree and most probably should be the same for other degree holders (Please check at the enquiry counter).

Update on 31-May-2018: Students can now apply online for obtaining certificates from Osmania University and obtain them to the postal address. Apply Online for Certificates

Go to the below counters beside Examination Branch of Osmania University

Student Center (Applications Submission Counter) - 10:30am-4:30pm (1pm-2pm lunch break)
SBH Student Counter (Extension) - 11am to 4pm (2:30pm to 3:00pm Lunch Break)

Required Documents:

1. Original Documents of the Required Transcripts
2. One set of copy of the required transcripts
3. Original ID Proof and one Copy of it

Process:

1. Each Transcript cost Rs. 50 (Check in the Enquiry Counter for latest charges)
    Multiply with the number of copies required
    Ex: You want 3 copies each of Degree Certificate and Consolidated Marks Memo. So total of 6 copies
    You need to take a DD of 6*50 = Rs. 300

2. Go to SBH Counter and fill the form for DD. The Service Charges are displayed on the Notice Board. Till Rs. 10,000, it is Rs.30 (Check for the latest charges). Pay the Cash at the Counter and DD is issued on the spot at the counter.

3. Take the DD to Enquiry COunter and take the Application form for Transcripts.

4. Fill in the required Details:

• Hall Ticket No.
• Year of Passed
• DD Details
• Transcripts required and number of copies of each certificate/memo
• Enclosures - tick the copies submitted

5. Take the below to Counter 4 (For B.E degree holders)

• DD
• Filled Application Form
• One copy of all the required certificates/memos
• one copy of ID Proof

6. At the counter, the papers and DD are pinned together. Receipt is handed over which has the details of Due Date.

7. You need to go to the Examination Counter on/after the Due Date to collect the Transcripts.            (Receipt is valid for 90 days from the date of issue)
    Due Date is generally after 5 Working days.

8. Go to Examination branch and hand over the receipt at the BE counter (on first floor) and collect the Transcripts. You will get one envelope (stamped and signed across the flaps) for each set of transcripts.

Note:
1. On the Back side of the DD, don't forget to write Hall Ticket No. and Name of the Applicant.
2. On Back side of the Filled Application number, write your Mobile Number.
